DID/C-PTSD on Pinterest: The Brain

As an adjunct to my Q&A book about dissociative identity disorder, I’m building extensive resources on Pinterest. I’m currently working on about 20 “secret” boards, which really just means “not ready for prime time” yet. I’ll release them to public viewing gradually, as I continue to work on the book which they support.

Today I’m offering the second DID/C-PTSD board of the collection for your perusal: The Brain. It offers brain scans, scholarly articles, major infographics, all about the brain, and in particular, the impact of trauma upon the brain and its functioning.

If you’re on RSS and can’t view the Pinterest widget below, either click through to this blog post, or go directly to the DID/C-PTSD: The Brain board on Pinterest.

This is just the beginning of a lot of new collated resources for trauma survivors! Let me know if there are particular topics you’d like to see gathered in a Pinterest board. I may have one in the works already, but there’s always room for more!

NOTE: All links to DID/C-PTSD boards on Pinterest will be permanently collected in the new DID/C-PTSD on Pinterest page in the header topics above.

Thank you for encouraging me along this journey, and for brightening my day! I can’t wait to show you what’s next!

New at ‘Third of a Lifetime’!

New at 'Third of a Lifetime'

I’ve rearranged a few things here at Third of a Lifetime to create a central location for links about me and Becoming One. You’ll notice across the top menu bar there are new page links for Interviews and Becoming One Reviews. Each page will be updated as warranted.

My current project, a Q&A style ebook about Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), is coming along nicely, but it’s expanding! I’m finding that there’s nothing really simple about describing aspects of DID in a way that is personal, accurate, and maintains consistency. Meanwhile, the book cover is already finished, and I love it! :) I’ll be revealing that down the line when the writing is nearer to completion. These are busy, rewarding days for me!

I’d also like to welcome new blog readers who followed the link from the back of the Becoming One ebook! Thank you for your support! Feel free to ask any questions about dissociation or DID issues, and check out the Dissociation Blog Showcase page to read 185 other accounts by people impacted daily by dissociation.

6 of 6 ‘Bees’ for ‘Becoming One’ at ‘The Bee Writes’!

Over at The Bee Writes, Becoming One has received 6 out of 6 ‘bees’!

“This is a very positive book that emphasises the ability of survivors to overcome their survival strategies which have become troublesome. It certainly has started another process of healing in me. But it also describes what is necessary for this healing process. In the cases of survivors who have dissociated it means to have a dedicated therapist like Howard [Asher].”

Bee is open about being a survivor, and also discusses how issues presented in the book can be triggering. It’s important to me that survivors pace themselves while reading Becoming One.

Go visit The Bee Writes and read the entire review!
