Favorite TweetStuff (01/05/13) ~ Happy New Year!

I’ve had a great new year thus far, with some things set into motion that I’ll be getting into later in the year! (Don’t want to jinx myself!) May 2013 be a year of fulfilled promises, hopes, and dreams! Enjoy!

‏@pourmecoffee “Congress is waiting until the last possible minute. This has happened to me and means the fiscal cliff plan will come from Wikipedia.”

@InvisibleObama “Ok, now I’m precipice’d off.”

‏@Reuters Photos: A look at how cities around the world are ringing in 2013

@HuffingtonPost “Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering ‘it will be happier’…” ~ Alfred Tennyson

[SEO: I follow this Mars-based dude on Twitter, and have to say, not only is he very smart, but he also has a great sense of humor! This video’s just icing on a very successful cake-year for space exploration.]

@TimWilliamsPGH Zeitgeist 2012: Year In Review
[SEO: In 2:46 you get so much of what 2012 was about! Love this! (Just ignore that it’s a giant Google ad in disguise.)]

@SarahMcLachlan “Alas for those that never sing… But die with all their music in them.” ~ Oliver Wendell Holmes

@heykim Dan Fogelberg, 1980: Same Old Lang Syne
[SEO: This has always been my favorite New Year’s Eve song. Lyrics included on the screen. Wistful, sad. Time to let go. Anything by Dan Fogelberg is just a bonus. :)]

Favorite TweetStuff (12/28/12) ~ Enjoy! And Happy New Year!

Well, it’s been quite a year! Most notably, we’re all collectively still here, no Mayan Apocalypse. Whew! ;) I’m thankful for so many people online who offer support to me throughout the year, both here and on Twitter. I treasure our friendships. Everyone has his or her own unique and valuable perspectives, which create constant learning experiences for me. I wouldn’t miss this for the world!

Favorite TweetStuff (12/15/12) ~ Enjoy! ~

This edition of Favorite TweetStuff was not posted yesterday because I was too distraught over the school killings in Newtown, Connecticut. I’m still reeling from the implications for those families, and that school and town, so much so that now this blog post has become a welcome diversion. Enjoy!

[important]

You can help Newtown, Connecticut recover by donating directly to one of Newtown’s own local aid nonprofits.
“’Any donations made to Newtown Youth and Family Services will be donated directly to those affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting,’ a message on the organizations website says. Newtown Youth & Family Services is located at 15 Berkshire Road, Sandy Hook, CT 06482. For more details on how to donate, call (203) 426-8103.”
