It’s finally here! 
This is the ebook cover for Becoming One: A Story Of Triumph Over Dissociative Identity Disorder, the 2014 edition of my book! I am excited! The Kindle ebook will be available later this week, and a new paperback edition will be launched within a few weeks.

Ohh, the best laid plans and all that! Just a reminder that the new ebook edition of Becoming One is coming soon! My original October 15th pub date has been moved back just a few weeks due to conflicts in other people’s schedules. I’m now anticipating a November 10th publication date, and I can hardly wait!
The new Becoming One ebook and print editions will be published under my own imprint, Swan Pond Press, with a brand new cover, and updated to include the latest DSM-5 criteria. While the original 1997 edition’s text remains essentially the same, the new editions include a new Foreword from Howard Asher, Psy.D., and an Addendum 2014 which briefly describes how I got from 1997 to here, and what comes next: Becoming One Every Day, to be published in 2015!
My offer, as previously stated, still stands: I’ve reduced the price of the 1997 print edition on Amazon directly from me from $14.00 down to $7.95!
And I can make this even better!
I can’t wait to show off the new cover, and to get moving on the next book with “the rest of the story,” Becoming One Every Day!

It’s been a long road! I’ve worked to create a Becoming One ebook, and a new print-on-demand paperback edition, for what seems like forever, with many detours, but it’s all coming to fruition now. Yeah!
The new Becoming One ebook and print editions will be published under my own imprint, Swan Pond Press, with a brand new cover, and updated to include the latest DSM-5 criteria. I really don’t do well in summer. The heat and humidity left me nauseated and migrainy for most of July, while at the same time trying to meet a self-imposed writing deadline, and keep the Dissociation Blog Showcase here updated. I had issues with WordPress that I’m hopeful are now resolved. Plus, summer always harbors unpleasant triggers from childhood for me.
All this to say, July really sucked, but I’m still here.
And I have some writing news coming shortly that is exciting to me, and I’m hoping you’ll be happy to hear it! Thank you for hanging in there with me!

I purposely held off posting about National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, its annual proclaimed month. There are always a slew of posts, which is great for awareness, but I always wonder how effective this is for the rest of the year.
My most-repinned pin on Pinterest is a graphic which provides a basic list of signs and symptoms of child abuse and neglect. If you click on it below, it takes you to a much larger, and easier to read, version. Or, if the graphic is not showing via email, you can go straight to it here. It’s something everyone should keep in a handy reference file, because you never know when a child might desperately need help.
